As I mentioned in the last post House of Levi Ydna, the first test results that came back was the 5 generation that you get from all the well known companies. Being recommended to get both tests searching for Jewish bloodlines, but Familytree kept telling people Jewish is a religion not a bloodline. So a better term that should have maybe been used is tracing House of Israel. While I waited my results, I would go read on their forum there were people questioning all kinds of things. Some Jewish people upset as they didn't show them being Jewish and they were that religion. Others wanting to know regarding the very low percentage of Ashkenazi in them.
Back when I did the testing the only branch of Jews Familytreedna tracked was Ashkenazi, so some families from different branches bothered by their results. I finally got my husbands report, I think I got it first. Immediately on his, he got a badge saying Cohen match badge which they believed to be sons of Aaron. I was surprised to see that one for sure, I was expecting to see Ashkenazi though. When I then opened the origins of his Ydna a list of all the countries he was tied to so many I was shocked at that. In certain countries he had so many matches they would put brackets around a number listing how many. Went through most the countries.. some with none and others with a lot so I will put a snap of kind of what it looked like:
It was a few pages as it showed different distances this one was based on their 12 exact match and was large listing countries with Jewish testing. It surprised me the list of countries even though he did not match with people in all the countries.
