Research continues on R1b Levites with new root lines
It was Family Finder at Family Tree DNA that was able to pinpoint 2% Jewish in paternal bloodlines. Their update on that system divided in half that 2% to 1% Ashkenazi European and 1% Mid Eastern Mizrahi Jewish bloodlines. God does not reduce percentages of the paternal bloodlines, man does that. Jewish however is the wrong word to use as Jewish is a religion. Should be called house of Israel. Some they have defined as being Levites and Levite priesthood. This was done even back in 2003 with the R1b crowd.The Historical Precedent (The 2003 Paper): The Behar paper proved the concept that R1b Levites existed across Western Europe (France, Austria-Hungary, etc.) centuries ago. There was also a dating of this 2019 titled: A New Narrative for Jewish R1b: Jewish Men in the Most Common European Y-DNA Haplogroup and The FTDNA Jewish R1b Project and yet this is even outdated. New updates are continuing at familytreedna to this day on the changes needed to add mid-eastern Jewish bloodlines to the Levites even.
Switzerland YDNA Jewish Markers a New Parent Group R-Z16886
I have shown the difference in our 2017 Family Finder compared to 2026 (see below) and there was a difference. I also show with chromosome painter on this site the changes that now show. My ancestry tree is on ancestry.com and the best is by my distant cousin as he worked on it Dr Theo Schaad, he has all my paternal Switzerland line there.
